Born in the East end of Glasgow, my first interaction with photography was at Secondary school. A couple of years later I was given my first camera as a birthday gift, and that was it.Having eventually moved to Blackpool in my early twenties, I found myself working in a local camera shop, and doing some part-time assisting. After a year spent travelling in Australia, I would return to Blackpool in1999, where I would gain my BA (Hons) Photography. Having then moved to London, I spent time assisting various photographers, before returning to Blackpool yet again. I then started teaching photography, whilst continuing with my freelance work.I then made the move to Manchester in 2010, where I am now based. In 2016, I would return to education, this time to gain my MA Photography.
Now, with over 20 years experience, I specialise in portraiture, documentary, music, and editorial photography.
My work has been used across a broad range of media, including both local and national press, corporate branding, and online content.Working mainly on location, I’m just as happy in the studio.
